Personnel: Central Receiving is staffed by two full-time phlebotomists for processing Monday through Friday, 6 am to 2:30 pm, and one phlebotomist each for evening, midnight, weekends and holidays.

Hours of Operation: Central Receiving is staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Both inpatient and outpatient phlebotomy services are available. The hospital service areas are listed below.

No Outpatient Phlebotomy on Weekends and Holidays:

Outpatient

  • Location: Adult Outpatient Department
  • First Floor - Room N101
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
  • Location: Pediatrics Outpatient Department Basement
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm

Note: All test request must be entered into the computer at least thirty minutes before the collection round to be sure the sample will be collected on the appropriate round.
