The Evening Stat Laboratory is a section of the Division of Clinical Pathology in the Department of Pathology at the University Medical Center. This lab is inspected by the College of American Pathologists. Therefore, policies and procedures are written in accordance with those standards.
Location and Telephone Numbers: The Evening Stat Laboratory is located on the first floor of the hospital, room S102.

Hours of Operation: The Evening Stat Lab is in operation from 3:30 pm to 7 am, seven days a week.
Objective: The purpose of the Evening Stat Laboratory is to provide stat results for the limited list of stat and urgent tests listed under STAT Laboratory Services. Requests for stat procedures not on the aforementioned list require pathologist's approval. Please request these special stat tests through the supervisor.
Consultations: If any problems should arise, or any special circumstances occur, please contact the section supervisor at 42368. The pathology staff and residents are available 24 hours a day to assist with your emergency or special needs. See current monthly call schedule for after hours, weekends, and holidays.
